Situated in the southeastern part of the city region "Asparuhovo borders: the Black Sea to the breakwater, port Varna, the railway area, the north road junction on Asparuhov bridge, northern coast of Varna lake and to the north and east of the border village Zvezditsa, and to the northern border of the municipality of Avren.
Region "Asparuhovo" covers two quarters and five urban forms: neighborhoods - Asparuhovo and Galata, urban forms - Zelenika, north Borovets, Borovets South Rakitnika, tourist zone "Priboi". District administration is in Asparuhovo quarter. In the region 24 000 inhabitants live in an area of about 2.4 sq. km.
On the territory of the area are two hospitals, two banks, two churches, three chapels, two community centers, tax office, police department, fire department and emergency safety office for social assistance, seven schools, four kindergartens and two crèches.
