Kitka is a village in North-East Bulgaria, part of Avren municipality, Varna region. It is located 22 km south-west to the city of Varna, 12 km south-east to the village of Avren and 14 km to the vast, beautiful beach at the mouth of Kamchiya river.

 Kitka is set among a slightly hilly area, surrounded by a deciduous forest. The climate is temperate-continental, influenced by the proximity to the Black Sea - the winter is mild, the spring - sunny, the summer - cool and the autumn - warm. The population numbers to approximately 250 people. The former mane of the village used to be Bilek Mahle.

 In the village of Kitka there is a beautiful Orthodox church, a community center, grocery shops, a cafe, a pensioner's club, a post-office. Very soon a dentist's office will be opened, as well. The village is supplied with water and electricity on a regular basis. In the center there are two spring water fountains. The roads are in an excellent condition, regular bus transportation is available to the city of Varna and the nearby villages. A digital telephone exchange provides quality telephone services. Internet access and cable TV are available, as well.

The village is famous for the great number of people at age of 85 and above who inhabit the area. Probably, the reason for their longevity is the healthy climate and the ecologically clean area in which the village is set.
